The Spearhead - winner of the ISEL Formula Student design competition

The Spearhead is the winner of the ISEL Formula Student design competition.

KTM just became major sponsor of this project, which is a great honour!

Inspired mainly by the KTM X-Bow, the Spearhead features a dark red / grey body with a separation along the center line to strengthen direction.

The two-tone body helps define the concept shape and adds lightness to the whole.

 

Aerodynamics study led to some adjustments in the front deflector and headrest to reduce pressure in the pilot's helmet.
Strong attitude, purpose and precision is evident in the resulting shape, which is similar to a spear piercing the air with great velocity. Hence the name Spearhead, "the leader of an attack".

Leon2049 initial phase sketch

Today I show you one of the initial phase sketches of my L3on2049, developed during my internship at SEAT in Barcelona.

At this point I was searching for main character lines and I was testing the idea of designing a car with a stand-alone levitation system. I had read about Hovertech's Plasmagnetic Levitation during my research. It is just a theory now but I thought maybe in fifty years it would be a reality. So I was "flirting" with the notion of a floating car.

More Element-C sketches

Doing some sketches for my portfolio, based on the Element-C. It is a Sports SUV with a dynamic and powerful stance. The coloured roof matches the c-pillar and rearview cameras. :)

These two sketches are not supposed to be the exact same car, just trying out some details.
